Signalware SP (Signaling Services Platform) is the ideal environment for developing tightly coupled, vertically integrated applications, while our Signalware SF (Server Farm Suite) enables traditional telecom core applications to be deployed in a cost-effective, distributed, IT-style network model.
Ulticom’s previous nSignia product has been rebranded under Signalware’s Network-Ready offerings, which deliver a wide selection of features and price points suitable for deploying solutions requiring out-of-the-box signaling gateway, edge STP, core STP, or load balancing functionality. SIGNALWARE APPLICATION-READY PRODUCTS:
Signalware SP – Signaling Services Platform - as the foundation of Ulticom’s Application-Ready product line, this industry-leading signaling software development framework provides customers with unmatched performance, scalability, and high-availability. Signalware SP has been chosen by all the tier-one telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly develop and deploy their latest applications including mobile advertising, femtocell gateways, softswitches, color ringback tones, location-based services, SMS, and pre-paid mobile services. And with Signalware SP, there are no proprietary limitations to deal with, as it supports all major telecom operating systems, and server platforms, as well as SS7 and Sigtran standards.
Signalware SF – Server Farm Suite - delivering the strategy of the internet to the telecom core network, Signalware SF addresses the transition of today’s telecom service delivery models brought about by innovative IP technologies and modern computing hardware. SIGNALWARE NETWORK-READY PRODUCTS:
Signalware SG – Signaling Gateway - the foundation of Ulticom’s Network-Ready products is this signaling gateway for use between SS7 and Sigtran networks. Signalware SG gives customers the ability to easily and cost-effectively transition from an SS7-based intelligent network to an IP infrastructure.
Signalware CS – Core Signal Transfer Point (STP) - offers carrier-grade STP functionality with routing and message transfer functions and Sigtran already included – but without the excessive costs associated with traditional STPs. Signalware CS empowers our customers with such network functionality as cross network services, point code emulation and translation, virtual signaling, security zone, and content-based packet steering and screening. Signalware CS delivers the benefits of a traditional STP, but with great savings in power consumption, heat dissipation, and required floor space in your data center. It is the green alternative to a traditional STP.
Signalware ES – Edge Signal Transfer Point - functions as a combination traditional STP and internet router. It enables the interconnection of SS7 networks and provides access to elements outside the core SS7 network by functioning as a border STP. Signalware ES can offload traffic to subnetworks, reducing network congestion caused by applications such as SMS. Signalware ES enables customers to deploy new, IP-based applications at the edge of their network, thereby avoiding the costs and risks associated with implementing them within the network core.
Signalware LB – Advanced Load Balancer - this turnkey IP-SS7 hybrid network element is designed to enable service optimization within the signaling network. Capable of making advanced routing decisions differentiating services, optimizing traffic flow, dynamically distributing load and managing congestion, and controlling access within the network, Signalware LB also provides server farm traffic steering for maximum network performance. Capable of acting as an application-specific router, Signalware LB offers a more intelligent version of the traditional signaling gateway.

NEW SIGNALWARE RELEASE INCREASES EASE OF USE - INCLUDES SELF UPGRADE PROCESS; ENHANCED USER INTERFACE
Signalware Network-Ready Version 2.7 marks the first product release of Ulticom’s newly branded and integrated Signalware Network-Ready product line. As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, we have incorporated several features designed to increase its ease of use.
Version 2.7 delivers several improvements to the product’s documentation set, as well as enhancements to its Graphical User Interface. In addition, the release brings with it a new, simplified upgrade process to enable customers to self-install this and future software upgrades.
